Specifying the Quantity of an Assigned Unit

To specify the quantity of an assigned unit

The Quantity box on the Compatible Unit Assignment Properties dialog box lets you specify how many or how much of an assigned unit is required for the design.

Alternatively, you can edit the Quantity property directly in the Design Workspace.

The default value for the Quantity property of an assigned unit depends on whether it is defined as a linear unit or a nonlinear unit (see Linear Units).

  1. From the list of assigned units displayed in the Design Workspace, right-click the unit that you want to edit and then select Properties from the shortcut menu to open the Compatible Unit Assignment Properties dialog box.
  2. In the Quantity box, type the number of units or the amount of the unit required by the design and click OK.
Note: To edit the assigned unit's Quantity property directly in the Design Workspace, double-click the value in the Quantity column and type a new value. Then press the Tab key or the Enter key or click a different area of the Design Workspace. To cancel the change, press the Esc key.
